8 RaaS Strategy

To address the challenges of monolithic-chain blockchain scalability and cross-chain interoperability, the concept of Rollups-as-a-Service (RaaS) has emerged as a promising service model. RaaS offers flexibility and security while reducing the complexity of building a Rollup ecosystem. By shifting some of the computational burden away from the main network, RaaS accelerates transaction speeds, lowers costs, and reduces network congestion. SATPORT aims to implement RaaS functionality in future iterations and upgrades, supporting the construction of Rollups based on its versatile settlement layer infrastructure.
Built upon the robust cross-chain infrastructure of SATPORT's HSS scalability solution, the SATPORT multi-chain wallet and SATPORT Chain's Rollup architecture design empower developers to rapidly establish any non-smart contract or non-EVM compatible chain's Rollup on the Satport Chain. This includes Rollup chains for assets like Litecoin L2, Dogecoin L2, and other similar chains.
Leveraging the native development components provided by SATPORT, such as SATPORT Hub (settlement layer), SatDK (Rollup development kit), and IRC (Inter-Rollup Communication protocol), developers can efficiently and conveniently launch a specific application-focused Rollup chain on the SATPORT underlying infrastructure. This empowers developers to start their own Rollup chains as easily as developing dApps, benefiting from the efficient and streamlined SATPORT foundation.
1) SATPORT Hub
The SATPORT Hub, also referred to as the settlement layer, provides a universal settlement service for all Rollups built on the SATPORT Hub infrastructure. It achieves performance optimization for Rollups by employing a modular approach that separates the settlement layer from the execution layer. Additionally, the service logic for Rollups is established within the settlement layer, facilitating seamless interoperability between local Rollups.
2) SatDK
SatDK, short for SATPORT Development Kit, is a modular suite of tools designed for developers. The launch of SATPORT SatDK draws inspiration from the widely adopted developer toolkit, Cosmos SDK, within the Cosmos ecosystem. SatDK can be viewed as an enhanced iteration of Cosmos SDK, tailored to the needs of SATPORT's ecosystem.
3) Inter-Rollup Communication (IRC)
IRC, the Inter-Rollup Communication protocol, facilitates trust-minimized and secure message transmission between SATPORT Rollups. It serves as a protocol for communication and interoperability between different blockchains within the SATPORT ecosystem. The cornerstone of communication for all SATPORT Rollups is SATPORT Hub, which serves as the central hub radiating throughout the entire Rollup ecosystem.
