Bitcoin holds a significant historical position within the realm of blockchain. As the pioneer of cryptographic digital currencies, it has gained widespread societal recognition, establishing itself as an emblem of decentralization, security, and censorship-resistance. Functioning as a decentralized digital asset, Bitcoin's historical significance remains closely intertwined with its conceptual role as "digital gold" and a store of value.
However, despite Bitcoin's core advantage as a store of value, the empowerment of its native token, BTC, within the Bitcoin native network is notably limited. Bitcoin's original design aims to maintain stability in its core attributes to ensure security and decentralization. It is this pursuit of stability that led to the intentional constraint of Bitcoin's scripting language, minimizing the introduction of potential instability factors and security risks, thereby restricting its application within complex scenarios requiring Turing complete smart contracts. Consequently, the Bitcoin native network is unable to facilitate diversified use cases such as decentralized finance, lending, and derivatives trading.
The demand for empowering Bitcoin assets has given rise to sidechains and Layer 2 solutions, aiming to enhance network scalability while providing a more diverse array of empowerment scenarios for BTC assets. Examples include Liquid, which focuses on asset issuance; Lightning, designed for rapid payments; as well as RSK and Stacks, supporting smart contract implementations. Nonetheless, these various solutions necessitate a balance between decentralization, security, and composability, thereby preventing an effective breakthrough.
SATPORT emerges as a direct response to the aforementioned backdrop, introducing the zk-HyperScale Solution (zk-HSS), a hyper-scalability solution based on zero-knowledge proof technology. This solution endeavors to construct a high-performance Bitcoin smart contract layer characterized by cryptographic security guarantees and complete decentralization.
